BLOOMFIELD, CT – Connecticut nonprofit Dog Star Rescue, in partnership with Renee DiNino from The River 105.9, will host Rescue on the Runway, a brunch and fashion show fundraiser on April 23 at the Farmington Club in Farmington, CT. Ticket holders will enjoy brunch, raffles, the company of adoptable dogs, and a fashion show with clothing from Chicos, Daswani and Eastern Mountain Sports. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support the rescue’s mission of guiding stray and abandoned dogs to better lives.
“As a non-profit, we cannot save rescue dogs without the generosity of donors,” says Dan McCabe, Founder of Dog Star Rescue. “Event sponsors and ticket holders can take pride in knowing that their money is going toward the care, transportation, and housing of rescue dogs while we search for their forever homes. In addition, they get to spend a Sunday afternoon eating, mingling, and watching a fashion show.”
Renee DiNino will be joined by keynote speaker Diane S. Urban, former state representative and animal advocate. Tickets for the event are $45 each, or $80 for two people. Ticket price includes brunch and a seat at the fashion show, and attendees can purchase raffle tickets at the event.
