Beer, Dogs & Live Music for a pAwsome Cause: Saving Dogs’ Lives

BLOOMFIELD, CONN., August 16, 2024 – Dog Star Rescue is thrilled to announce our 10th annual Bark & Brewfest fundraiser, happening on Saturday, September 28th, from 4-8 pm at Trinity Health Stadium (Hartford Athletic Stadium). This highly anticipated event offers a “pawsome” opportunity to support our mission of saving dogs’ lives while enjoying an evening of great food, drinks, and entertainment.

Since our founding in 2014, Dog Star Rescue has successfully placed over 6,500 rescue dogs into loving homes. Our Bark & Brewfest is our largest fundraising event of the year, raising over $20,000 last year alone. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping us continue our vital work of rescuing and rehoming dogs.

Your ticket to Bark & Brewfest includes unlimited beer sampling from an array of local Connecticut microbreweries including Elicit Brewing, CounterWeight, Coles Road Brewing and many more, a selection of spirits from nearby distilleries including Litchfield Distillery, Quiver Spirits and more, and access to several food trucks showcasing the best of Connecticut’s cuisine. Attendees will also enjoy live music from “The Dilemma Band,” the always-popular puppy cuddling booth, live demonstrations from local K-9 units,raffles,  and information about our Dog Star for Veterans program.

Dog Star Rescue is a licensed non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, stray, and abandoned dogs from both local and out-of-state shelters, as well as owner-surrendered dogs.
