Dog Star Rescue, an all volunteer, non-profit, foster-based rescue based in Bloomfield CT is excited to announce some changes in its Board of Directors. Each of these roles fills a vacant position and each represents an area of the rescue that has incredible volunteers to advocate for our volunteers and our dogs.
Foster Director: Cass Anton
Cass Anton, formerly our Kennel Director, has changed roles to be our Foster Director. In this role, Cass will oversee and strengthen our vital foster program. As a foster herself, Cass understands both the challenges and opportunities in this new role and is excited to transition into this important position. The foster team is always looking for fosters, foster coordinators and other related roles so anyone interested can contact Cass at cass@dogstarrescue.org.
Kennel Director: Jennifer Killips
With the Kennel Director role vacant, Jen Killips eagerly stepped up to lead the Kennel team. Formerly a Kennel Coordinator, Jen is very experienced with the needs of our kennel volunteers and dogs staying in our kennels. This expanded role will help her advocate for these needs at the Board level. The kennel team is always looking for volunteers so you can reach out to Jen at jenniferkillips@dogstarrescue.org.
Volunteer Director: Jim Walters
Long time volunteer Jim Walters is stepping into our vacant Volunteer Director role. As an all volunteer organization, volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Jim will add fresh ideas and leadership to this area – ensuring that volunteers are trained, appreciated and thriving.
