Dog / Shepherd / Mixed (short coat)
If you ask us, Jessy is quite the catch! He is a striking beauty and has a personality to match. This is Jessy and he is a German Shepard mix at an estimated age of 2 years old and weighing approximately 36 pounds. Just meeting Jessy will put you on cloud “canine”. He can have a captive audience with just his presence. He is a joy to have the privilege of meeting and knowing.
Jessy has a reputation of being a very loving boy. He came to DSR from a hoarding and neglect case. Even though he came from underprivileged beginnings, this sweet boy is not looking back. He is on a path to find his forever home. Jessy’s overall deposition is one that is shy and timid which makes him unsure of himself in new environments. This makes life a bit scary for Jessy and he will do best with someone that will allow him time to ease into new situations until he is comfortable to move forward. He will let you know when he is ready to take the next step but the timing will need to be on his schedule. Jessy would do best in a home with older children and no cats. He is great with other dogs and can happily coexist with them or he can be the sole beneficiary of his family’s love and attention. He would love nothing more than to have a home that will afford him the opportunities to be in a loving home with all the trimmings.
Jessy pulls out all the stops in his diverse skill set. Jessy has mastered house, crate and leash training. Although it is important to remember that even though he is house trained, there can be a period of adjusting to a new home environment which can lead to occasional accidents in the process.
Jessy is in his glory being outdoors and he especially enjoys being in the woods. Jessy has a medium energy level that works well with a typical moderately active family. Jessy will cherish the time with his human and he will also make his human proud at the same time.
Love could be in the air with Jessy by your side. When you take a chance with Jessy, you take a chance on love at the same time.
