Beer, Dogs & Music for a Great Cause: Saving Dogs’ Lives
Dog Star Rescue and Hooker Brewery will be hosting their 8th annual Bark & Brew fundraiser event on Saturday, October 1 from 3-8 pm outside at their Bloomfield, CT headquarters. This very popular event attracts hundreds of folks from CT and beyond who are dog lovers, beer lovers, music lovers and anyone looking to support a great cause. Help make a difference for the 3.1 million dogs that enter shelters annually in the U.S. All proceeds from this fundraiser help directly support the rescue’s mission of guiding dogs toward better lives.
Dog Star Rescue has adopted over 5,000 rescue dogs since 2014, and the Bark & Brew is its biggest fundraiser of the year. Each ticket includes an award-winning barbecue dinner with vegetarian options, unlimited beer from Hooker Brewery, live music from Sister Funk, the ever-popular puppy kissing booth, cornhole and more. Raffle tickets can also be purchased for great prizes.
“This will be a great afternoon for all and the best part is knowing that you’re having fun while helping us save more rescue dogs. As a non-profit, we are reliant on the generosity of our event sponsors and ticket holders and in return, we hope people are ready to eat, drink, hold puppies and listen to great music,” said Dan McCabe, Dog Star Rescue founder.
Bark & Brew will be held on October 1 from 3-8 p.m. at 12 Tobey Road in Bloomfield, CT. Tickets are $45 (also available in discounted 2 and 4 packs) and can be purchased online through Facebook, Instagram and at DogStarRescue.org. Dog Star Rescue is also looking for corporate sponsors and has many options available at DogStarRescue.org too.
