Dog Star Rescue Celebrates Selection as Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary
February 1, Bloomfield, CT – Dog Star Rescue has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of February.
The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
Dog Star Rescue was selected as the February beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at Cottage Grove Road in Bloomfield, CT. The rescue will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during February.

Dog Star Rescue is a licensed non-profit organization that takes in stray and abandoned dogs from a variety of sources including both local and out of state shelters, as well as owner surrender dogs, and places them in loving, forever homes. Dog Star Rescue has adoption events every weekend and adopts dogs of every size, breed and age. As an all-volunteer, foster-based non-profit, they rely on the generosity of partners and supporters directly support costs associated with saving dog lives.
