Dog Star is a 100% Volunteer Organization

Dog Star Rescue’s success truly depends on the efforts of our many volunteers. Without volunteers, we simply could not rescue homeless and abandoned dogs in the South that are placed in high-kill shelters or take in dogs that are local owner-surrenders. Every member of our volunteer roster helps us rescue dogs and place them in new, loving homes, and together, our volunteers are what make Dog Star successful and amazing.

There are many ways that you can volunteer with Dog Star Rescue, each offering more rewards than you could even imagine – not to mention unlimited dog kisses and snuggles.

• Dog Fostering: We are always looking for local fosters for our dogs. Learn more about our foster program and complete our application.

• Other Volunteer opportunities: If you can’t foster but still want to be involved, we have so many other volunteer opportunities including dog handling at our events, transporting dogs, evaluating potential adopter families, publicity/marketing, fundraising and other administrative tasks.
