Painting party!
Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves again—this time for a painting party at our new headquarters! While it may not have been quite as wild as the demolition party, there’s nothing that says “show me the finish line!” like a fresh coat of paint.
We were incredibly fortunate to have the support of Sherwin-Williams, who generously donated not only the paint but also the heavy-duty primer and supplies needed to bring our vision to life. Thanks to their generosity our new home is starting to truly look and feel like the place we’ve been dreaming of
Last month our new epoxy floors were poured in what’s going to become our kennel area and once they were fully set we got the green light to start painting. Designed with a subtle grading towards our new drainage system, these floors make it easy to hose away dirt, hair, and waste—creating cleaner, healthier, safer spaces for our dogs and volunteers
Meanwhile the walls are getting just as functional. With Sherwin-Williams’ heavy-duty primer and paint, our surfaces will be sealed and scrubbable from floor to ceiling. In both the kennel and quarantine areas that’s a game-changer for maintaining top cleanliness standards
We also have even more good news
We passed our latest inspection! That means we can move ahead with sheetrock installation and get ready for our custom-designed kennels to be installed soon! Step by step, coat by coat, our new headquarters is coming together. We couldn’t be more excited to see it transform into the safe, welcoming space our dogs deserve
