Two Dog Star Rescue Alumni to Play in the 2024 Puppy Bowl
FEBRUARY 6, BLOOMFIELD, CT – Two young pups adopted from Dog Star Rescue in 2023 will be playing in this year’s Animal Planet Puppy Bowl on February 11, starting at 2 p.m. ET.
Tater (formerly known as Tiger) and Mimi are puppies who were brought up to Connecticut from a southern shelter through the volunteer efforts of Dog Star Rescue. They were vetted, vaccinated, neutered, and transported to Connecticut, where they were adopted by their forever families and began growing in their new homes where they could rest up and prepare for the big game.
“We are so lucky to have our dogs chosen once again for the Puppy Bowl,” says Dan McCabe, President & Founder of Dog Star Rescue. “We know that our Dog Stars are truly special, and now the whole world will see why. It’s because of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers that we were able to bring these three to Connecticut, safe and healthy, and they could be involved in this exciting event.”
Dog Star Rescue will be hosting a Puppy Bowl viewing party at 1:30 p.m. at their headquarters at 12 Tobey Road in Bloomfield, CT. Folks will be encouraged to bring their dogs to play with others inside and outside in our Star Yard (weather permitting). We just ask that everyone attending bring a donation from our Amazon wishlist or Chewy wishlist to help paw it forward. For more information, visit dogstarrescue.org.
